AutoPylot Becomes The Newest FAA-Approved Supplier of LAANC
AutoPylot Now a FAA-Approved Supplier of LAANC
AutoPylot, a mobile application designed to streamline mission scheduling for commercial and recreational drone flyers, has received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a UAS Service Supplier of LAANC (Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability).
The FAA has approved AutoPylot’s new app, which lets drone pilots request near real-time airspace authorizations through LAANC. This makes it easier and more efficient for drone operators to request and receive authorization for flights in controlled airspace.
With AutoPylot’s mobile app, drone operators can effortlessly identify which areas require an airspace authorization and which locations should be avoided. The app’s user-friendly design and intuitive interface make it easy to use, even for those new to drone operations.
“We are excited to partner with the FAA to provide drone pilots with access to airspace through LAANC,” stated Tauty Shalna, Founder of AutoPylot. A licensed Part-107 pilot, Tauty founded AutoPylot after facing challenges managing his drone media and inspection business using existing solutions.
“I was flying several times a week, sometimes several times a day; and it didn’t feel like any solution helped simplify and manage that workload.”, said Tauty.
AutoPylot has overcome these challenges by introducing a dynamic mission creation process. Instead of going through several steps of inputting flight information and submitting it to find out if a pilot can fly in a specific location, AutoPylot instantly displays an area’s airspace status, depending on your mission parameters.
In addition to airspace management, AutoPylot’s mission management features also organize flight details into one easy-to-read format, track hourly and 10-day forecasts for every flight, and allow drone operators to connect their calendars to have upcoming missions automatically populate.
“While we are primarily an airspace and weather app today, our ultimate goal is to provide a comprehensive and user-friendly platform that integrates all aspects of drone mission management,” Tauty added.
AutoPylot is now free in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
