What is drone insurance, and what does it protect?
Drone insurance is a comprehensive coverage designed to safeguard drone operators. It typically includes liability protection, shielding pilots from potential legal and financial consequences in case of accidents involving third parties. Additionally, it covers hull damage, theft, and other potential risks, ensuring their investments are protected against unforeseen events.
Liability
Drone liability insurance is a type of coverage that protects drone operators from financial losses resulting from damage or injury caused by their drone operations.

Hull
Drone hull insurance covers physical damage to the drone itself, including repair or replacement costs resulting from accidents, crashes, or other perils.
Other Equipment
In addition to liability and hull insurance, drone pilots can obtain coverage for other equipment, such as cameras or sensors, to protect against damage, loss, or theft.

No! While we can only sell insurance policies to the residents of 43 states, the policy insures flights in all 50 states. In other words, if you bought a policy in Colorado, and are traveling to California, your flights would be covered in California even though we don’t sell insurance in there.
You should buy the policy in the state you live in, or have a residence in (if you have more than one). The policy will cover flights in all 50 states.
Yes! As long as your drone is registered, you hold a TRUST certification, and/or Part-107, and fly within all the rules and regulations of the foreign territory, then you will still be covered!
